An Interview by Tomas Hajzler with Frederic Laloux 28 minutes. Interview filmed 26 January 2017 at http://ecovillageithaca.org Featured Image/graphic link added by Enlivening Edge Magazine.
In 2014, Ian George my co author, and I, had dinner with Frederic Laloux in Brussels. Three years on Frederic has now moved to upstate NY. His self published book, Reinventing Organisations, which has not been marketed by him, has sold over 100,000 and people connected to this organisational change movement have chosen to translate the book into 20 different languages and we are still counting. We met Frederic as he saw our book From Me to We: Design and Build Collaborative Workplaces as another Teal example. I just saw it as a chance at creating a Soulful workplace, a term Frederic uses as well. Have a look at this interview done earlier this year to understand the shift going on globally, albeit very quietly in Australia. Can download our book free of charge at collaborativeenquiry.com and Frederic’s at reinventingorganizations.com. Enjoy.
Stephen, you wrote on your website:
> Once independent relationships have been developed between co-workers (see Step One – Connecting the Spokes), these micro-collaborations can start to be connected to each other, so much so that a full wheel of communication is formed around the manager.
Would your approach work also in businesses that don’t have managers anymore?
