Global Teal Meetup for the Americas: Belonging At Work

By Manuel Perez Gomez for Enlivening Edge Magazine

The Global Teal Meetup is a space where Teal  and other next-stage movements practitioners and enthusiasts can share their experiences and ideas on how to change organizations for the better.(1)  In these conversations, we navigate the complexity of our contemporary work landscape, exchange best practices, and explore concepts like wholeness, self-management, and evolutionary purpose.

The idea of creating these free quarterly events derived from the global Teal Around The World conferences hosted by The Teal Network. The goal is to connect communities across North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia/Australia. We invite you to register for the upcoming Global Teal Meetups for Europe and the Americas:

“Teal is a movement towards realizing the truth of our unity and connection in a world that is lost in the story of separation. Building this capacity within ourselves and in our relationships is such an important part of it.”~Richard Schultz

This is what one of the attendees of the second quarterly event shared after participating in a conversation centered around interpersonal dynamics and improving organizational structures.

The upcoming September 9 Global Teal Meetup for the Americas will promote the work of Shawn D. Murphy, a senior HR leader with over 20 years of experience in talent and organizational development, author of two books about redesigning workplaces and transforming work culture.

In Work Tribes:The Surprising Secret to Breakthrough Performance, Astonishing Results, and Keeping Teams Together, Shawn explores the importance of belonging at work, the barriers that prevent us from having that experience, and its ultimate effects on team performance, cohesion, and success.

This event is free, and everyone’s welcome. If you don’t know about Teal but are curious about it, check out this video overview or this short article.

And if you would like to attend the next global Teal Around The World conference in 2022, here is some information.

(1) The terms “Teal” and “next-stage organization” are taken from Frederic Laloux’s book Reinventing Organizations: A Guide to Creating Organizations Inspired by the Next Stage in Human Consciousness. The scope of attention and of invitation to the gatherings is broader than the particular Teal organizational paradigm, and is meant to include all others moving toward a new stage of consciousness as reflected in our organizations.
